The approaches that people exhibit as a result of the fear of victimization affect the social order negatively, making the fear of crime a social problem. In addition to negative emotions such as anxiety, anxiety, fear, anxiety, which arise in individuals who are afraid of being victims, people's fear of being victims of crime weakens social unity and the informal control mechanism, leading to alienation of people and decreasing trust in society. This article reviews the research literature on fear of being a victim of crime. Firstly, the fear of being a victim of crime and the factors affecting it, and then theories about crime victimization were discussed. In the third chapter, the effects of the fear of being a victim of crime on the individual and the society are mentioned. In the conclusion part of the study, suggestions were made for the strategies to be developed to prevent fear of victimization by making an evaluation over the studies in our country.
