The aim of this study, which is based on the literature research, is to reveal the role and importance of social service professionals in the sports social service approach and to increase the awareness of those concerned. For this purpose, firstly, the conceptual framework related to sports, social work and sports social service is mentioned and touched on the role of social service professionals in sports social service applications within the framework of the relationship between social service and sports ann then suggestions are given in the conclusion part. It has been evaluated that the application of occupational intervention techniques in the field of sports by social service professionals will create new employment areas for both disciplines and increase the effectiveness of these disciplines.
