Abstract
Günümüz devletleri farklılaşan bireysel ve sosyal sorunlara karşı artık multidisipliner bir bakış açısıyla yeni ve etkili sosyal hizmet yaklaşımları geliştirmektedir. Spor sosyal hizmeti, sosyal hizmet alanında yeni ortaya çıkan bir yaklaşımdır. Literatür araştırmasına dayalı olarak yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı da, spor sosyal hizmeti yaklaşımında sosyal hizmet profesyonellerinin rolü ve önemini ortaya koymak ve ilgililerin farkındalıklarını arttırmaktır. Bu amaçla öncelikle spor, sosyal hizmet ve spor sosyal hizmetine ilişkin kavramsal çerçeve belirtilmiş, sosyal hizmet ve spor ilişkisi çerçevesinde sosyal hizmet profesyonellerinin spor sosyal hizmeti uygulamalarındaki rolüne değinilmiş, sonuç kısmında önerilere yer verilmiştir. Sosyal hizmet profesyonellerinin mesleki müdahale tekniklerinin spor alanında uygulanmasının her iki disipline yeni istihdam alanları açacağı ve bu disiplinlerin etkinliklerini arttıracağı değerlendirilmiştir. Spor sosyal hizmeti yaklaşımında sosyal hizmet profesyonellerinin rolü üzerine bir araştırmanın bugüne kadar yapılmamış olması çalışmanın önemini arttırmaktadır.

Abstract
Today's states are developing new and effective social work approaches to differentiating individual and social problems with a multidisciplinary perspective. Sport social service is a newly emerging approach in the field of social service. The aim of this study, which is based on the literature research, is to reveal the role and importance of social service professionals in the sports social service approach and to increase the awareness of those concerned. For this purpose, firstly, the conceptual framework related to sports, social work and sports social service is mentioned and touched on the role of social service professionals in sports social service applications within the framework of the relationship between social service and sports ann then suggestions are given in the conclusion part. It has been evaluated that the application of occupational intervention techniques in the field of sports by social service professionals will create new employment areas for both disciplines and increase the effectiveness of these disciplines. The fact that a research on the role of social service professionals in sports social service approach has not been conducted to date increases the importance of the study.
