Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the level of psychological resistance of adolescents and internet addiction in the context of peer support, school support, family support, adaptation, empathy and determination in the fight. In the academic year 2018-2019, 822 students from Anatolian High School, Middle School, Middle School for Tourism Management, Middle School for Girls and Anatolian High School Imam Hatip were subjected to survey. The questionnaire consists of the section "Personal Data Form", the Scale of Adolescent Psychological Resistance "and Internet dependency scale". According to the obtained results, internet dependence is generally different in demographic characteristics. In the sample it was bigger in the younger age group, the girl, the low class, I have a high school high school, and those who had a secret friend and emotional connection. Internet dependency and psychological resistance did not show a significant difference in family characteristics (p> 0.05). The statistically significant and negative correlation between the total number of Internet dependencies and family support, school support, adaptation, determination to fight and complete psychological resistance of psychological resistance (p <0.05) was determined. There was no statistically significant link between support for friends and empathy and Internet addiction (p> 0.05).
