The punishment idea of Democrat Party that came on power with the multiparty life at Republican era, due to the choice of Kırşehir at the 1954 elections opens a way for Nevşehir where was attempting to become a province center. However the result of the election choice does not pleased the government; it brings plenty of discussion at the assembly with the draft law that turns Kırşehir a town and Nevşehir a province. Though Democrat Party tries to explain the draft law with geographic and economic reasons, cannot be successful to persuade the public opinion. The city becoming of Nevşehir stays in the shadow of these agreements.
