His perception of art which his researches on the humane characteristics of the feudality in the East both framed his own novels and specified the perception of art in the journal of the Türkiye Defteri. Türkiye Defteri published in the shaky period of the 1970s, includes critics related to the novelists writing with the perspective of socialist realism besides social facts such as East –West duplication, Westernization, enlightlenment, alienation often discussed in the leftist world of the period. According to this artistic view based on Kemal Tahir, there were assessments on many novelists principally, Sabahttin Ali, Yaşar Kemal, Orhan Kemal, nazım Hikmet, Fahri Erdinç.
