Any city creates its own identity by feed from hierarchy of systems that form with dynamic and static environment that it hosts. Each city has its own distinctive characteristics that distinguish it from the others. The concept of cycling in Konya is one of the elements that make up the identity of the city. Bicycle, and cycling , since it was first introduced to Turkey, it was both a transport vehicle as well as in later years became an official sport branch in Konya. The aim of the study is to evaluate the socio-cultural and spatial effects of bicycle sport in the context of veledrom in the formation of urban identity of Konya. The archives of newspapers and sports journals were examined and survey method, one of the research techniques in social sciences, was conducted. In study, the elements that make up the identity of the city are discussed in the perspective of Konya and the results of the survey are discussed after expound the bicycle and bicycle sport which is a part of the urban identity in Konya, and the ideas that are expected to be realized by the related institutions are mentioned. Then, the spatial differences are evaluated as bicycle sport and Konya it will be discussed how effective on the urban identity is.
