Abstract

Old Mesopotamian astral sciences has evolved as an extension of the ending religious beliefs, the work of hundreds of years of scholars. Astrologers have extracted astrological prophecies from celestial bodies and meteorological events, believing that the state and motion of celestial bodies affects the events on Earth positively or negatively. Astrological prophecies are linked to a "if x, y will be" run. According to belief, if a positive phenomenon is active in the sky, a positive event will occur on the earth. According to belief, if a negative phenomenon is active in the sky, a negative event will occur on the earth. According to what we learn from the documents, variables such as the colors of the celestial bodies, the directions of the celestial events, the time of the celestial events, the positions of the celestial bodies with each other, the times when the celestial events took place, the solar and lunar eclipses, meteorological events affect the prophecies. These phenomena were interpreted by the oracles, various works were brought to the scene, astrological reports were prepared and presented to the king.
