Abstract

This research academy courses in the social studies teacher candidates is conducted to determine the level of understanding of some concepts across cultural geography lesson. For this purpose, a test of 21 questions have already been developed and tested with the optional writing section is devoted to the cause of the answers given. Developed general cultural geography test was applied to 150 students. After installation of the test answer according to a statement made by the students' answers are understand, partially understand, it was analyzed as wrong and missed. Randomly selected to evaluate the responses to the survey interview was conducted with 16 students. The results of this study, students rivers, the earth's shape and movements, climate, pressure, volcanoes, glaciers, and karstic answers within the concepts of the figures wrong category over 25% were evaluated.That the concept of this topic, river regime, Aphelion (aphelion), isotherm, high pressure, crater blanket glacier
