Abstract

Consumers are affected from various factors when purchasing food. Displaying the correct purchasing behavior is important for their own and their families eating healthily, to protect their budget and to prevent waste. This study has been designed and implemented with the purpose of determining the factors affecting the purchasing behaviors of women. Mothers of the children attending primary schools were included in this study, and a questionnaire including items related to demographic data, expressions related to purchasing of food and feeling energetic and mental health dimensions of the quality of life (KF-36) was applied to them. At the end of the study, it was seen that educational status and employment affected the food purchasing scores.
