Technological advancement has raised the importance of information management technologies together. In today’s information age, it comes forefront of need to quickly reach exact information. A new process arises with the transition from an industrial society to a knowledge-based society. Public institutions are also affected by this process and have begun to use information technologies in new public administrative mentality. Therefore, ensuring the integration of public service delivery with information technologies has led to requirement of quality and rapid service delivery. In this context, this study addresses to what extent the electronic document management system in the public sector contributes to management and, in turn, to knowledge management and are evaluated recommendations for the issues.
