In this study, concept of communication, the elements of the communication process, types of communication, verbal communication, nonverbal communication, one-way communication, two-way communication, teaching processes and communication, listening skills in interpersonal relationships, active listening and empathic communication approach, communication barriers issues are provided in accordance with the relevant literature. The qualitative research method document review was used in this research study. The literature review was conducted by accessing resources and data relevant to the research. Books, theses and reports related to the study are examined and the data obtained was tried to be integrated in a systematic manner. Evaluation was made by associating findings and by creating judgements. The concept of communication is the basic tool of interpersonal relationships. Communication takes place in all areas of life, actually it forms the life. I
