A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP AND FOLLOWERS’ AFFECTIVE COMMITMENT AND PERFORMANCE OTANTİK LİDERLİK İLE İZLEYİCİLERİN DUYGUSAL BAĞLILIKLARI VE PERFORMANSLARI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİLER ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA
The purpose of this study to examine the relationships between the four components of authentic leadership named; self awareness, balanced processing, relational transparency and internalized moral perspective and followers’ affective commitment and performance. In this context, in our article, there will be a brief review of the literature about “authentic leadership”, “affective commitment” and “followers’ performance” with methods, results and conclusions related to the empirical study. The sample of the study is 96 school teachers from Samsun city. In the research section, “Authentic Leadership Scale”, “Affective Commitment Scale” and “Performance Scale” has been used. According to the results of the study, there is a positive significant relationship between all components of authentic leadership and the followers’ affective commitment and performance.
