Abstract

The artistic and cultural developments that emerged at the beginning of the 20th century resonated in the second half of the century, causing many traditional artistic insights and practices to change. One of the most important of these changes, rising from postmodern debates, is the emergence of interdisciplinary or antidisciplinary understandings that result from criticizing the views of institutionalization or specialization, which is the extension of modernization. In this context, notation as the writing of music, the handling of sound as an object, the emergence of electronic music, and especially after 1950, the idea of indeterminacy in music developed. The antidisciplinary method, called visual / graphic notation, which uses various images and pictorial expressions by leaking into the visual field instead of conventional notation, has begun to be used. The visual notation in which the boundaries of the visual arts and auditory art areas are obscure, in this context, it remains in an ambiguous field and is mostly considered as a technical problem or a contemporary analysis of music. In this article is approached from this point of view, and the traces of this change, in which the connection with visual arts are generally taken into the background, are discussed and discussed in the connections within the visual arts.
