In line with this aim, a free writing activity was organized for students. The data obtained from the students' free writing study papers and the forms in which the students stated their demographic information were examined by document analysis method and the obtained data were interpreted with cross comparison tables. The population of the study is middle school students and the sample is 4102 students randomly selected from different class levels of city center, district and village schools of each province of Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, Şanlıurfa Zonguldak. As a result of the data obtained, it has been determined what kind of subjects the secondary school students tend to prefer.
