Abstract

In this research, the relationship between academic procrastination and decision-making styles was researched based on pedagogical formation teacher candidates. The study group consisted of 355 pedagogical formation program students in 8 groups who received pedagogical formation training at Balıkesir University Necatibey Education Faculty in the fall semester of 2017-2018. The Academic Procrastination and Decision Making Styles Scales were applied to the groups and statistical analyzes were done on 229 scales. As a result of the research, it was found out that the most prevalent decision-making style of the teacher candidates trained in pedagogical formation education was rational decision making, and the least used decision style was inevitable decision making style. Teacher candidates have high academic procrastination behaviors. The academic procrastination behaviors of teacher candidates trained in pedagogical formation in the research are different for males. In the research it has been determined that there is no meaningful difference between decision making styles and gender
