Thus, last scientific paradigm predicted the reality by cause and effect relationship, which was based on certainity and determinity (Erçetin, 2001). The paradigm also controlled organizational life and approached organizational dynamics in a certain and deterministic way. However, new changes shifting the globe from industrial to knowledge society, centralization to decentralization, hierarchical to network structures pave a way for evolutionary transformation based on the fact that knowledge is esoteric and phenomena changes in a complex dynamical processes. This transformation points out that complex systems shouln’t be approached in a certai and determinist way. In this study, complex adaptive leadership for school principals (CAL-SP) as a new paradigm was intended to analyze theoreticaly in connection with theory of complex adaptive leadership (CAL) conceptualized by Uhl-Bien, Marrion and McKelvey.
