Concepts in the preschool period are the building blocks of the mind. The formation, use and acquisition of concepts is realized through the active involvement of children and it is known that children develop a rapid development of concepts related to science, technology, mathematics, art, as well as basic concept development. When children are introduced to these concepts, activities and environments are needed that will expand their practice of applying new concepts to their existing concepts and enable them to learn and construct new concepts. It is suggested that the STEM approach, which is very popular in recent years, should be implemented as early childhood years. In other words, our children need to take the theoretical information revealed by basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics, and make innovations that will add value to life by blending technology and engineering. Therefore, educational programs and activities that are sufficiently explained, introduced and based on this approach should be included in the program. In this study, STEM approach was tried to be explained in early childhood period. Suggestions have been made for both educators and families and a sample work has been presented.
