Abstract

Bedir is the name of the place which located about 160 kilometers southwest of Medina between Medina and Mecca and 30 kilometers from the coast of the Red Sea. Being carried out the first war with the polytheists under the leadership of Prophet Muhammad here in 624, increased the value of the name “Bedir”. The victory result of the of the Muslims who were weak in numbers and equipment in this war which occurred in the month of Ramadan and the second year of Hijra, increased the importance of Bedir. This glorious war which proves that absolute victory of Islam has taken place not only in history books but also literary works. In this way, masnavis and leaflets were written both about the importance of the Badr War in Islamic history as well as describing the names / virtues of the participated in this battle. One of these works is the masnavi of Shakir which includes the names of Badr community. In his book, the poet talked about 464 Companions who were well-known or disputed as Badrî. Shakir Efendi
