Abstract

This work today as a necessity of the digitalization of media technology, reveals the need to evolve media literacy to the digital media literacy. Based on the analysis of traditional media literacy are inadequate in television and newspaper content is surrounded by digital media, youth media education. Today, watching hours of television and newspaper sales decline and fall; but the rapid increase in online video viewing time and the use of instant messaging programs by young people as a container for the major part of the daily life of one of the most valid reasons for this transformation. Young people and families looking suspiciously but without ignoring the potential of digital media how it should be approached only possible with a digital media literacy will be developed in a systematic way. In strengthening the critical perspectives of digital media and digital communication capability in this context considering the process faced by students in the digital age it is discussed.
