THE EFFECTS OF TRADITIONAL TEACHING AND ACTIVITY TEACHING METHODS ON STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN HIGH SCHOOL MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION ORTAÖĞRETİM MATEMATİK ÖĞRETİMİNDE GELENEKSEL ÖĞRETİM İLE ETKİNLİK TEMELLİ ÖĞRETİM YÖNTEMLERİNİN ÖĞRENCİ BAŞARISI ÜZERINDEKİ ETKİSİ
The aim of this study is introduce the effects of mathematical activities on the achievement of student in mathematical education. In the study, the findings which are obtained from applied tests on students of a high school located in Van, and its evaluations are given. The workgroup of this study includes two classroom of the high school. These classrooms are named as Experiment and Control groups during the study. While, the education with activity method has been applied to experiment group, the education with traditional method has been applied to control group on determined issues. The analysis of the research have been done for within-group and intergroup as two phase by using SPSS. The results of pre, end and recall tests are evaluated at significance level of 0.05 for paired samples t test and independent samples t test for within-group and intergroup, respectively.
