Summary

The aim of this study is to determine the views of the research assistants working in universities according to organizational values. In addition, it is aimed to determine the relationships between these views and the variables of gender, professional seniority, field and educational status. The research is in survey model and “The Management by Values Scale” is used as data collection tool. Within the scope of the research, 155 research assistants working in 42 different universities are reached via social media and e-mail. Obtained interview data is analyzed through percentage, frequency, arithmetic average, t test and ANOVA variance. For the statistical analyses SPSS 17.0 is used. According to the results of the study, it is found that the opinions of the research assistants regarding their management according to organizational values are mostly at the level of “moderately agree- ment”. Research assistants mostly stated that “Internal peace of mind is considered first”. Research assistants participated at least the items that “Religion is not taken as reference in business, transactions and actions”. It is determined that the opinions of the research assistants regarding the management according to the organizational values don’t differ significantly according to the gender and professional seniority variable, and they differ significantly according to the educational status and the study area.
