Abstract

Character education is to provide positive gains to the personal characteristics of the individual. Character reveals what kind of human being is in society. According to the character and behavior of a person, his good, bad, honest and so on. Personal characteristics. It is important for our future to educate individuals with strong character in order to have better and more positive features. In order to raise such a generation, character education should be among the subjects that educators attach importance to as well as family and environment. In this context; Ibrahim Unsal's Historical Novel Gazi woman / Fatma Tegmen, the open character of the character of the hero's personal characteristics of the children's characters in terms of educational positive or negative effects of what is aimed to examine. Within the scope of the study, document analysis method was used in the qualitative research design. In this context, the novel, with the literature search made in the novel character of the hero, determined, patriotic, hero, faithful and so on. The characteristics of the children were examined and their effects on the characters were investigated. İbrahim Ünsal's active character is the protagonist in the novel.
