Abstract

Musical theatre has been important during world art cultures, matured further thanks to the music genres emerging at different stages and provided continuity as a subgenre of theatre. One of the most famous and demanding subgenres of musical theatre is the Musical, which originated in Europe and the United States. The musical is one of the synthesized branches of art. In this respect, it has many expressions of theatre, music, choreography, brilliant stage effects, dramaturgy, and opera. In this study, sources related to the historical method of musicology were analyzed, and data on the stylistic features of the musical were collected and analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, findings on the stylistic features of the musical, including eternal subjects, locality, different musical genres, choreography, and dances, assembly technique, special song ranking, dance choir. These findings have been identified as features that distinguish Musical from other scene genres.
