Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the motivation levels of the students of Music Department of Fine Arts High School. The survey method, which is one of the descriptive research methods, was used in the study. Two tools were used as data collection tool for research. One of these is “The Personal Information Form” where the students have demographic variables and the other is “The Individual Audio Education Lesson Motivation Scale”. In the study, 163 students who were studying in the 10th and 12th grades who took Individual Voice Training lessons in the Music Departments of Rize, Trabzon, Giresun and Ordu Fine Arts High Schools in Eastern Black Sea Region were selected as the study group. In addition, a commonly used packet program was used in the analysis of the data obtained in there search. As a result of there search, the students' motivation levels for the individual voice education lesson were found to be at an intermediate level. In addition, the students' motivation scores for the individual voice training lesson, the individual time periodal located to study the individual voice training lesson and motivating factors to work in the individual voice training lesson were found to be significant differences.
