For this reason, today many cities have turned to event tourism. Capital of cultural events which take part in event tourism as a kind of cultural tourism, are of increasing importance in terms of benefits for cities. In our country awareness to capital of culture has began to generate because of the title of İstanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture and then the title of Eskişehir 2013 Turkic World Capital of Culture. On the other hand, it is stated that in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 2023 Strategic Plan; each year a city will be publicised as a "City of Cultural Tourism" for improving cultural tourism activities. It shows that similar events will increasingly continue. İt is important to be paid attention to several components for achieving success in the cultural mega events like capital of culture events.
