Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the interconnections and relations between urbanizational problems and non-formal educational processes of adults who live in a city where has structural urban problems. Hence, it is expected to portray the structure of both the demand for non-formal educational activities and citywide adult educational implementations. The sample of survey consists of adults who were randomly selected from the inhabitants of Karaduvar District. The major findings of the research as follow: Among the participants, the rate of participation to non-formal courses was found as low degrees. It has been found that the reasons, choices and goals of participants partially reflect their own personal and local problems and needs. The research found out that the major objectives of participation to non-formal learning processes are career development, joy of learning itself, legal obligations and needs of socialising.
