Abstract
Resim sanatında tasarımsal ve kavramsal yönü ile en önemli kavramlardan olan “boşluk-doluluk”, sağladığı ifadesel olanaklar ile de pek çok sanatçı için önemli bir sorunsal olmuştur. Biçimin ister soyut isterse gerçekçi olsun boşluk içindeki oranı ve dağılımı sanatçının üslupsal yöneliminde önemli bir yer tutar. Sophie Jodoin boşluk ve doluluk kavramları ile birlikte incelendiğinde, hem onun sanatsal ifade biçimi, hem de “boşluk-doluluk” kavramı için güçlü açıklamalar sunar. Sanatçının yalın ve güçlü anlatımı bu karşıt kavramlar için örnek teşkil eder. Çalışmalarının tasarımsal ve kavramsal açılımı boşluğun ve doluluğun resim sanatında kullanımı ile ilgili belirgin ipuçları verir. Jodoin’in sunduğu kavramsal çalışmalar boşluk ve doluluğun tasarımsal olduğu kadar kavramsal yanını da resim dili ile betimler.

Abstract
One of the most important concepts in the art of painting with its design and conceptual aspect, “emptiness-fullness” has been an important problem for many artists with the expressive opportunities it provides. Whether abstract or realistic, the proportion and distribution of the form in space has an important place in the stylistic orientation of the artist. When Sophie Jodoin is examined together with the concepts of emptiness and fullness, she offers strong explanations for both her artistic expression and the concept of "emptiness-fullness". The simple and powerful expression of the artist sets an example for these opposite concepts. The design and conceptual expansion of his works gives clear clues about the use of emptiness and fullness in painting. The conceptual works presented by Jodoin describe the conceptual as well as the design side of emptiness and fullness with the language of painting.
