Abstract
Bu araştırmanın genel amacı etkili okulu diğer okullardan ayıran özellikleri tespit etmek ve etkili okullarda rol oynatan etkenlerin ne tür özelliklere sahip olduğunu irdelemektir. Bu araştırma doküman analizi yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada 1997- 2020 yılları arasında yazılmış ulaşılabilen yüksek lisans tezleri ve makaleler incelenmiştir. Günümüz dünyasında yaşanan sağlık sorunları araştırmanın model seçimini olumsuz etkilemiş ve araştırmacının model seçimini sınırlamıştır. Yapılan literatür taramasına göre etkili okullar; öğrenci merkezli, yüksek oranda akademik beklentileri olan, öğrencilerin öğrenmesini sağlayan açık bir iklime sahip, mesleki gelişimi destekleyen, yoğun hizmet içi eğitim ortamı olan, paylaşımcı liderlik yapılan, çevrenin eğitime katılımını sağlayan okuldur. Sonuç olarak etkili okulların etkinlik düzeyi bu kurumlarda görev alan personellerin özverilerine ve görev bilinçlerine göre şekillendiği söylenebilir.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to distinguish effective schools from other school types and to determine what kind of features that effective schools have. The study was conducted thraugh document analysis method. In the research, accessible master's theses and articles written between 1997 and 2020 were examined. Global health problems affected the studys method choice negatively and retsrict researcher to select other kinds of research methods. According to findings, effective schools must have these gualifications to be idetified at effective: being studen-centered, having high rate of academic expectations, supporting vocational development, havingan open learning enviroment which motivate students to learn, providing in service training desely, drawing attention to participative leadership, including aster environment to educational activites. As a result, it can be said that the activity level of effective schools is shaped according to emplayees devotion working at these schools and their attemps to fulfil the responsibilities.
