Abstract
Hayat boyu öğrenme kapsamında Türkiye’de en önemli ve eski yaygın eğitim kurumlarından biri Halk Eğitimi Merkezleridir. Günümüzde teknolojide meydana gelen hızlı gelişmeler, eğitim kurumları müfredat programlarında da değişiklik ihtiyacını gündeme getirmektedir. Bu hızlı değişime uyum sağlayabilmek yalnızca örgün eğitimde verilen eğitimlerle mümkün değildir. Yapılan bu çalışmanın temel amacı Halk Eğitimi Merkezi’nde açılan Genel Muhasebe kurslarında verilen eğitimin durumunu ve güncelliğini değerlendirmektir. Araştırmada ayrıca kursiyerlerin Genel Muhasebe kursuna katılma nedenleri kursiyerlerin demografik özellikleri (eğitim durumları, cinsiyet, yaş ve kurs dönemleri) açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Analizler IBM SPSS 26 istatistik programı ile yapılmıştır. Bilecik Halk Eğitimi Merkezi’nde kurs alan ve ankete katılan kursiyerlerin verdikleri cevapların frekans ve ortalama sonuçlarına göre kursiyerlerin bu kursa katılma nedeni olarak çoğunluğunun yeni bir şeyler öğrenmek ve mesleki bilgi edinmek istemeleri nedenlerini belirttikleri görülmüştür. Halk Eğitimi Merkezinin fiziksel şartlarının iyileştirilmesinin kursu daha verimli hale getireceği, bilgisayar laboratuvarları imkânı sağlanarak Genel Muhasebe derslerini farklı muhasebe paket programları ile almak istedikleri de kursiyerlerce belirtmektedirler. Yapılan testler sonucunda kursiyerlerin Genel Muhasebe kursuna katılma nedenlerinin eğitim durumu, yaş, cinsiyet ve kurs dönemi değişkenlerine göre bazı nedenlerde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract
Public Education Centers are one of the most important and oldest non-formal education institutions in Turkey within the scope of lifelong learning. Today, rapid developments in technology bring the need for changes in the curriculum of educational institutions. Adapting to this rapid change is not possible only with the training given in formal education. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the status and up-to-dateness of the education given in the General Accounting courses opened in the Public Education Center. In the research, the reasons for the attendees to attend the General Accounting course were evaluated in terms of the demographic characteristics of the trainees (educational status, gender, age and course periods). The analyses were performed with the IBM SPSS 26 statical programme. According to the frequency and average results of the answers given by the trainees who took the course and participated in the survey at Bilecik Public Education Center, it was seen that the majority of the trainees stated that they wanted to learn something new and gain professional knowledge as the reason for participating in this course. The trainees also state that the improvement of the physical conditions of the Public Education Center will make the course more efficient, and that they want to take General Accounting courses with different accounting package programs by providing computer labs. As a result of the tests, it was determined that the reasons for participating in the General Accounting course of the trainees differ for some reasons according to the education level, age, gender and course period variables.
