Abstract
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı biyoloji öğretmenlerinin öğretmenlik mesleği genel yeterliklerine yönelik öz yeterlik inançlarının belirlenmesinde kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Bu amaçla MEB Öğretmen Yetiştirme Eğitimi ve Genel Müdürlüğünün 2013 yılında yayınladığı Biyoloji Öğretmeni Özel Alan Yeterlikleri, 2017 yılında yürürlüğe giren Öğretmenlik Mesleği Genel Yeterlikleri kılavuzları ve alan yazında yer alan çalışmalar incelenerek 103 maddelik bir madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Sonrasında uzman görüşleri alınarak madde sayısı 63’e düşürülmüştür. Ölçek 8 farklı lise türünde görev yapan 193 biyoloji öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda Biyoloji Öğretmeni Mesleki Yeterlik Ölçeği, faktör yükleri ,559 ile ,869 arasında değişen 42 madde ve 5 alt boyuttan oluşan bir yapı sergilemiştir. Bu alt boyutlar; ‘Öğretimsel yeterlikler’, ‘Temel alan yeterlikleri’, ‘İletişim yeterlikleri’, ‘Biyokültürel yeterlikler’ ve ‘Laboratuvar yeterlikleri’ olarak isimlendirilmiştir. Beş alt boyutun açıkladığı toplam varyans %73,745 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayısı ,978 olup, ölçeğin alt boyutlarının Cronbach Alpha değerleri ,903 ile ,973 arasında değişmektedir.

Abstract
The aim of this research is to develop a valid and reliable scale that can be used to determine the self-efficacy beliefs of biology teachers about their general vocational competencies. An item pool of 103 items was created by examining the Biology Teacher Special Field Competencies published by the Ministry of National Education Teacher Training Education and General Directorate in 2013, the General Competencies for Teaching Profession guides that came into force in 2017, and the related studies in the literature. Afterwards, the number of items was reduced to 63 by taking expert opinions. The scale was applied to 193 biology teachers working in 8 different high school types. The result of the exploratory factor analysis, the Biology Teachers’ Vocational Competencies Scale exhibited a structure consisting of 42 items and 5 sub-dimensions with factor loadings ranging from ,559 to ,869. These sub-dimensions are named as ‘teaching competencies’, ‘subject matter knowledge competencies’, ‘communicative competencies’, ‘bio-cultural competencies’ and ‘laboratory competencies.’ The total variance explained by the five sub-dimensions was 73,745%. Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale ,978, and the Cronbach Alpha values of the sub-dimensions of the scale vary between ,903 and ,973.
