Abstract
İnsanlık tarihiyle aynı geçmişe sahip olan sanat; genel olarak bireylerin duygu ve düşüncelerinin estetik yollarla dışavurumu olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Sanatsal ifade yoları ilk ortaya çıkışından günümüze kadar insanoğlunun günlük hayatını kolaylaştırmak ve anlamlı kılmak için kullandığı en temel yollardan olduğu söylenebilir. Ayrıca sanat günümüz disiplinler arası bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmelerle günlük yaşamın içinde vazgeçilemez bir yere sahiptir. Özgür düşünce ve karar verme yeteneği geliştiren sanat, duyusal ve etik bir eğitim biçimi, iletişim yolu ve öğrenme yöntemidir. İnsanlar hayal gücü, duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade etme imkânını, sanat eğitiminin fırsat verdiği yöntemlerle bulmaktadır. Önemli bir boyutta rol oynayan sanat eğitimi, diğer tüm disiplinlerdeki verilen eğitimlerde de sanatsal yöntemlerin önemini beraberinde getirmektedir. Her toplumun kendine özgü kültürü, inançları, yaşama biçimleri olması sebebiyle kültürel farklılıklar, sanat eğitimin ve eğitimde sanatın etkisini göstermektedir. Sanat eğitimini gerekli kılan etkenlerin başında sosyal yapı, toplumsal ve kültürel özellikler gelmektedir. Tüm bu özelliklerin edinilmesinde de eğitimde sanatsal yöntemler izlenmesi sürece fayda sağlayacaktır. Bu çalışmada, sanat eğitiminin gücü ve sanatın öncülüğündeki bireysel ve toplumsal gelişmeler ele alınarak, genel sanat eğitimi çerçevesinde görsel sanat eğitiminin gerekliliği ve genel eğitim sistemleinde sanatsal teknik ve malzemelerin kullanılmasının sağlayacağı yararlar hakkında farkındalık oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır.

Art, which has the same history as the history of humanity; It is generally defined as the expression of the emotions and thoughts of individuals through aesthetic means. Artistic ways of expression can be said to be one of the most basic ways that human beings use to make their daily life easier and meaningful since their first emergence. In addition, art has an indispensable place in daily life with interdisciplinary scientific and technological developments. Art, which develops the ability to think freely and make decisions, is a sensory and ethical form of education, communication and learning method. People find the opportunity to express their imagination, feelings and thoughts with the methods provided by art education. Art education, which plays an important role in education, brings the importance of artistic methods in education in all other disciplines. Because each society has its own culture, beliefs and lifestyles, cultural differences show the effect of art education and art in education. Social structure, social and cultural characteristics are at the forefront of the factors that make art education necessary. In the acquisition of all these features, it will be beneficial to follow artistic methods in education. In this study, it is aimed to raise awareness about the necessity of visual art education within the framework of general art education and the benefits of using artistic techniques and materials in general education systems by considering the power of art education and individual and social developments under the leadership of art.
