LEED PLATİNUM SERTİFİKALI İLK VE ORTAÖĞRETİM EĞİTİM YAPILA-RINDA SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİK: AMERİKA BİRLEŞİK DEVLETLERİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract
Gelişen dünyamız ve teknolojilerle birlikte artan nüfus, küreselleşme ve bunlara bağlı olarak artan ihtiyaçlar yapılaşmayı artırmaktadır. Yapılaşmanın artmasıyla birlikte var olan kaynaklar azalmakta ve doğal çevre zarar görmektedir. Yapılaşmada ortaya çıkan bu sorunlara ise sürdürülebilir tasarım anlayışı ile çözümler sunulmaktadır. Tasarlanan yapıların sürdürülebilir olması için geliştirilen bazı sertifikasyon sistemleri de bulunmaktadır. Bu sertifikasyon sistemlerinden birisi olan LEED, yapıları kabul edilen ortak standartlara göre değerlendirerek sertifika vermektedir. Fakat yapıların sürdürülebilir olarak tasarlanmasının ötesinde toplumunda bu bilinci edinmesi, gelecek kuşakların yaşam kaynaklarının korunmasının farkındalığının oluşması gerekmektedir. Bahsedilen bu bilincin sağlanabileceği temel yapılardan birisi de eğitim yapılarıdır. Çalışma kapsamında LEED sertifikası alan ilk ve ortaöğretim eğitim yapıları tek tek taranıp incelenmiş ve en fazla LEED sertifikalı eğitim yapısının Amerika’da bulunduğu görülmüştür. Ardından Amerika’daki LEED sertifikası alan ilk ve ortaöğretim eğitim yapıları belirlenen değerlendirme başlıklarına göre sayısal veri grafikleri oluşturularak incelenmiştir. İncelenen veriler sonucunda Amerika’da LEED sertifika derecelerinden platinum sertifika alan eğitim yapıları çalışma alanı olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı LEED platinum sertifikalı ilk ve ortaöğretim eğitim yapılarında sürdürülebilirlik kavramı örnek projeler ve sürdürülebilirlik değerlendirme ilkeleri açısından analiz edilerek irdelenmesidir. Çalışmada yeşil bina açısından iyi performans gösteren örnek geliştirme projelerini onaylamak için tasarlanmış olan LEED platinum sertifikasyonu doğrultusunda yüksek puan alan eğitim yapıları incelenmektedir. Bu doğrultularda çalışma 6 aşamada kurgulanmıştır. Amerika’da platinum sertifika almış toplam 45 eğitim yapısı taranarak sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında en fazla bilgi ve görsele ulaşılan “5” adet ilk ve ortaöğretim eğitim yapısı seçilmiştir. Seçilen eğitim yapıları LEED platinum sertifika değerlendirme başlıkları üzerinden incelenerek genel analiz tablosu oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda Amerika’da sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri doğrultusunda yapılan eğitim yapılarının su, enerji, havalandırma, maddi kaynaklar gibi birçok parametrede almış oldukları kararların hem sürdürülebilirlik hem de öğrencilerde doğal çevreyi koruma bilincinin oluşmasında önemli etken olabileceği görülmüştür.

Abstract
Increasing population with our developing world and technologies, globalization and increasing needs related to these increase structuring. With the increase in construction, the existing resources are decreasing and the natural environment is damaged. Solutions are offered to these problems arising in construction with the understanding of sustainable design. There are also some certification systems developed to ensure that the designed structures are sustainable. LEED, one of these certification systems, grants certificates by evaluating the structures according to the accepted common standards. However, beyond the sustainable design of the buildings, it is necessary to gain this awareness in the society and to raise the awareness of the protection of the life resources of future generations. One of the basic structures in which this awareness can be achieved is educational buildings. Within the scope of the study, primary and secondary education structures that received LEED certification were scanned and examined one by one and it was seen that the most LEED certified education structure was found in the United States. Then, the primary and secondary education structures in the United States that received LEED certification were analyzed by creating numerical data charts according to the determined assessment titles. As a result of the analyzed data, education structures that received platinum certification from LEED certification degrees in the United States were determined as the study area. The aim of the study is to analyze the concept of sustainability in LEED platinum certified primary and secondary education buildings in terms of sample projects and sustainability evaluation principles. The study examines educational buildings with high scores in line with LEED platinum certification, designed to approve exemplary development projects that perform well in terms of green building. In this direction, the study has been structured in 6 stages. A total of 45 platinum-certified educational buildings in the United States were scanned, and "5" primary and secondary education buildings were selected, with the most information and visuals available within the scope of sustainability.The selected training structures were examined over the LEED platinum certificate evaluation headings and a general analysis table was created. As a result of the study, it has been seen that the decisions taken by the educational buildings in the USA in accordance with the principles of sustainability in many parameters such as water, energy, ventilation and material resources can be an important factor in both sustainability and the formation of the awareness of protecting the natural environment in students.
