Abstract
Ülkemiz, her bölgesinin kendine has coğrafyası, iklim tipi, geçim kaynakları, gelenekleri ve kültürel mirası itibariyle zengin bir dokuya sahiptir. Bu zenginlik, bölgelerdeki mimari yapıların da farklılaşmasına neden olmaktadır. Dolayısıyla yapıların malzeme kullanımları, strüktürleri, yapım teknikleri ve cephe karakteristik özellikleri de değişkenlik göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada, Ankara iline bağlı Güdül İlçesinde bulunan, cephesi ahşap kütüklerle oluşturulan yapıların yapım teknikleri, malzeme bilgileri ve özellikle cephe karakteristik özelliklerinden bahsedilmektedir. Ahşap; doğayla uyumlu, kolay işlenebilir, genellikle rahat ulaşılabilir bir malzeme olduğundan, ülkemizde yaygın kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmaya konu olan cephesi ahşap kütüklerle oluşturulmuş yapılar da ahşabın bu potansiyellerinin kullanılmasına bir örnektir. Yapılan çalışmadaki amaç; ilçenin mimari dokusunu özgünleştiren ahşap kütük cepheli yapıların belirlenmesi, ahşap malzemenin cephelerdeki kullanım şekillerinin ve tipolojilerinin irdelenmesi aynı zamanda ilçe geleneksel dokusuna katkılarının ortaya konulmasıdır. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın kapsamını; ahşap kütük cepheli yapıların ilçedeki yoğunlukları belirlemiştir. Çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde; elde edilen verilerle yapıların cephe karakteristikleri tartışılmış, mevcut durumları incelenmiş ve alan için kültürel miras niteliğinde olan bu yapıların korunması gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır.

Abstract
Our country has a rich texture with its unique geography, climate type, livelihoods, traditions and cultural heritage. This richness causes the architectural structures in the regions to differ. Therefore, the material uses, structures, construction techniques and facade characteristics of the buildings also vary. In this study, the construction techniques, material information and especially the characteristics of the façade of the buildings in Güdül District of Ankara, the façade of which are formed with wooden logs, are mentioned. Wooden; It is widely used in our country because it is a material that is compatible with nature, easily processed and generally easily accessible. The buildings whose façades are formed with wooden logs are an example of using these potentials of wood. The purpose of the study; The determination of the buildings with wooden log fronts that original the architectural texture of the district, the examination of the usage and typologies of the wooden materials on the facades, as well as revealing their contributions to the traditional texture of the district. In this direction, the scope of the study; The densities of the buildings with wooden log facades in the district have been determined. In the conclusion part of the study; With the data obtained, the facade characteristics of the buildings were discussed, their current conditions were examined, and the necessity of protecting these structures, which are cultural heritage for the area, was emphasized.
