Abstract
Müze var olduğu yerin tarihini, kültürünü, yaşantısını özünde barındırır. Kültür varlıklarının maddi ve manevi anlamda korunması, sergilenmesi ve kullanıcılara aktarılması noktasında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Eserlerin sergilenmesi ve kullanıcıya erişmesi noktasındaki arayışlar müzecilik kavramının ve yönteminin zenginleşmesine neden olmuş ve “Modern Müzecilik” anlayışı 20.yy’da hayatımıza girmiştir. Modern Müze anlayışında ise müze, sürekli-değişen eserler sergiler; dönemin iletişim araçlarını etkili bir şekilde kullanıp, kullanıcılar ile güçlü bir iletişim kurarak bütünleşmeyi amaçlar. Müzede gerçekleştirilen atölyeler, sergiler, film gösterimleri, alternatif rehber desteği v.b. destekleyici uygulamalar, müze gezme deneyimini en iyi hale getirmeye çalışır. Bunlardan biri olan Eskişehir Odunpazarı Modern Müzesi (OMM) bulunduğu bölgedeki konumu, mimari dili, eserleri sunma biçimi ve gerçekleştirdiği etkinlikler ile modern müzecilik anlayışı için önemli bir örnektir. Mimar ve koleksiyoner Erol Tabanca tarafından hayata geçirilen Odunpazarı Modern Müzenin temeli 2018 Şubat ayında atılmıştır. Japon mimarlık ofisi Kengo Kuma & Associates tarafından tasarlanan Odunpazarı Modern Müze 2019 yılında tamamlanmıştır. Müze, İngiltere'de düzenlenen 18th Museums + Heritage Awards (Müze ve Kültürel Miras Ödülleri) "Yılın Uluslararası Projesi" ödülünü kazanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Odunpazarı Modern Müzesi’nin tarihi Odunpazarı bölgesi ile kurduğu bağlamsal ilişki analiz edilecektir. Bu doğrultuda öncelikle yapının mimarı Kengo Kuma’nın tasarım anlayışı analiz edilmiş sonrasında Eskişehir tarihi Odunpazarı bölgesinin yerel ve karekteristik özellikleri tespit edilerek Odunpazarı Modern Müze’nin bölge ile kurduğu fiziksel mekânsal ve bağlamsal ilişki analiz edilmiştir.

Abstract
In essence, the museum contains the history, culture and life of the place where it is located. The museum has an important place in terms of protecting, exhibiting and transferring cultural assets to the users in material and spiritual terms. The searches for exhibiting the works and reaching the users have enriched the concept and method of museology and the understanding of “Modern Museology” entered our lives in the 20th century. In the understanding of the modern museum, the museum exhibits constantly-changing works; It aims to use the communication tools of the period effectively and to integrate with the users by establishing a strong communication. Supporting practices such as workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, alternative guide support in the museum try to optimize the museum visit experience. One of these, (OMM), Eskişehir Odunpazarı Modern Museum is an important example of modern museum understanding with its location, architectural language, way of presenting the works and the activities it performs. Odunpazarı Modern Museum, whose foundation was laid in February 2018. It was realized by architect and collector Erol Tabanca. The Odunpazarı Modern Museum, designed by Japanese architecture office Kengo Kuma & Associates, was completed in 2019. The museum won the 18th Museums + Heritage Awards (Museum and Cultural Heritage Awards)"International Project of the Year", organized in the UK. Within the scope of the study, the contextual relationship established by the Odunpazarı Modern Museum with the historical Odunpazarı region will be analyzed. In this direction, first of all, the architect of the building, Kengo Kuma's understanding of design has been analyzed. Afterwards, local and characteristic features of Eskişehir's historical Odunpazarı region were determined and the physical spatial and contextual relationship established by the Odunpazarı Modern Museum with the region was analyzed.
