Abstract
Bu çalışma İtalyan besteci Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’nun en çok bilinen ve çalınan gitar eserlerinden birisi olan op.77 Sonat “Omaggio a Boccherini” nin armonik, melodik ve ritmik yönden bir analizini içermektedir. Nasyonalizm, Neo-Klasisizm, Empresyonizm gibi 20. Yüzyıl müzik akımlarının bazılarından etkilenmiş ve eserlerine yansıtmış olan bestecinin bu eseri de, her bölümünde farklı stilleri içermesi, modal armoninin sıklıkla kullanması, gitar çalgısının ses oluşumlarının (seslerin bir araya geliş şekillerini) ve ses kapasitesinin çok çeşitli ve verimli şekillerde kullanılması gibi yönleriyle gitar repertuvarının öne çıkan ve incelenmeye değer eserlerinden birisidir. Çalışma aynı zamanda eserin daha iyi anlaşılmasına ve yorumlanmasına etki etmesi amacı ile bestecinin kısa bir biyografisini ve 20. yy müziğinin genel hatları ile bir incelemesini de içermektedir.

Abstract
This study includes a harmonic, melodic and rhythmic analysis of op.77 Sonata "Omaggio a Boccherini", one of the best known and played guitar works of Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Influenced by some of the 20th century music movements such as Nationalism, Neo-Classicism, Impressionism and reflected in his works, this work of the composer also includes in terms of different styles in each part, his frequent use of modal harmony, using the sound formations (the ways that sounds come together) and the sound capacity of the guitar instrument in various and efficient ways it is one of the prominent and worth-examining works of the guitar repertoire. The study also includes a brief biography of the composer and an overview of 20th century music in order to influence the work to be better understood and interpreted.
