Abstract
Azerbaijan painting artist Toğrul Nerimanbeyov, who includes folk life, values and art in his works, produced works in the genres of still life, portrait, and landscape. In the research, the contemporary works of the artist, created with the original expression style and the effects of folk art, were discussed as subject. In the research, it was aimed to determine the novelties that emerged in the artist's original expression style and works of folk culture.
Qualitative research type was used in the research. The literature was searched as a data collection tool and the obtained information was analyzed. The sample of the study consists of Toğrul Nerimanbeyov's original style of expression and works with folk culture influences. In the research, the works were examined in the context of art historical criticism.
