FATİH-HARBİYE ROMANINDA GELENEĞİ REMZEDEN MEKÂN, RENK VE SES UNSURLARININ LEİTMOTİV OLARAK KULLANIMI

Abstract
Cumhuriyet devri Türk romanının önemli isimlerinden biri olan Peyami Safa, yalnızca roman sahasında değil gazetecilik ve fikri eserler sahasında da hatırı sayılır bir şöhrete sahiptir. Yazar, devrindeki Batılılaşma cereyanları karşısında geleneği muhafaza cihetinde saf tutmuş ve Doğu-Batı arasında tedirgince gidip gelen bir toplumun, geleneğe olan ihtiyacını gözler önüne sermek hususunda bilhassa romanlarında azami bir gayret göstermiştir. Bu gayretin parlak neticelerinden biri olan Fatih-Harbiye’de yazar, geleneği temsil eden bazı remizleri çeşitli şekillerde tekrar etmek suretiyle leitmotiv olarak kullanmış ve bu yolla eserin fikrî zeminini daha tesirli ve belirgin kılmıştır. Romanda açık mekân olarak Fatih semti, kapalı mekân olarak kahvehaneler taşıdıkları simgesel değerlerle geleneksel hayata işaret ederken; siyah ve beyaz renkler kıymetli olanı gözlerden saklamak ve masumiyeti temsil etmek; ezan, beşik gıcırtısı ve helvacı seslerini ise dini ve kültürel değerlerin sese dönüşen remizleri olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Fatih-Harbiye’de geleneği remzeden mekân, renk ve ses unsurlarının leitmotiv tekniği ile sunuluşu üzerinde durulacaktır.

Abstract
Peyami Safa, one of the prominent names of the Republican era Turkish novel, has a considerable reputation not only in the field of novels, but also in the field of journalism and intellectual works. The writer kept the tradition in the face of keeping the tradition in the face of the Westernization dreams in his time and especially in his novels in revealing the need of a society, who went uneasy between East and West, to the tradition. In Fatih-Harbiye, one of the bright results of this effort, the author used leitmotiv as a leitmotiv by repeating some of the abbreviations representing the tradition in various ways, and in this way, he made the intellectual ground of the work more effective and evident. While Fatih district as an open space in the novel and coffee shops as an indoor space point to traditional life with their symbolic values; black and white colors are used to hide the precious from the eyes and represent innocence, and the sounds of azan, cradle creak and halvah as remixes of religious and cultural values. In this study, the presentation of the space, color and sound elements that remind the tradition in the mentioned novel of Safa with leitmotiv technique will be emphasized.
