Abstract
Endüstri 4.0’ın merkezinde olan teknolojilerden biri olarak kabul gören blok zinciri teknolojisi literatürde Bitcoin’in arkasındaki güç olarak belirtilmektedir. Bu innovatif teknolojinin uygulanma alanı yalnızca Bitcoin gibi kripto paralarla sınırlı kalmayıp birçok farklı alanı ve sektörü kapsamaktadır. İşletmelerin dijital dönüşümünde Endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin benimsenmesi ve uygulanması çok önemli bir hal alırken, özellikle blok zinciri teknolojisinin çok iyi anlaşılamaması ve çok özelliğinin henüz farkında olunmaması bir engel yaratmaktadır. Bu çalışmada çok sayıda farklı boyutlara sahip olan blok zinciri teknolojisinin işletmeler tarafında önemli olan yönleri değerlendirilmiş ve tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, blok zinciri teknolojisinin yalnızca bitcoin’den ibaret olmadığını göstermek ve blok zincirinin getirdiği fırsatlar konusunda farkındalık yaratmaktır.

Abstract
Blockchain technology is considered the power behind Bitcoin and is considered as one of the technologies at the heart of Industry 4.0. The application area of this innovative technology is not only limited to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, but also covers many different areas and sectors. While the adoption and application of Industry 4.0 technologies becomes crucial in digital transformation of the enterprises, the fact that blockchain technology is not understood very well and not being aware of its many features creates an obstacle. In this study, the important aspects of blockchain technology, which has various dimensions, are evaluated and discussed. The aim of the study is to show that blockchain technology is not solely about bitcoin and to raise awareness about the opportunities that blockchain brings.
