ÇEVİRİBİLİMDE ‘PARADİGMA’ VE ‘TURN’ KAVRAMLARININ TÜRKÇE LİTERATÜRDEKİ KULLANIMLARI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Abstract
Avrupa’da teknolojik ve siyasi alandaki gelişmeler dünyada batı merkezli toplumsal bir dönüşüme yol açmıştır. Bunun sonucunda toplumun araştırılması gibi çalışmalar hız kazanmış ve sosyal bilimlerin mevcut yöntem ve bakış açısının yetersiz kalmasıyla sosyal bilim kavramının anlamsal sınırları genişlemiştir. Bilim anlayışının değişmesi ve toplumun odağa alındığı araştırmaların artmasıyla birlikte, disiplinlerarası çalışmalara ihtiyaç duyulmuş ve yeni bilim dalları ortaya çıkmıştır. Yeni bilim dalları terminolojik kullanımlarının çeşitlenmesine, farklılaşmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu süreçte, farklı kuram ve yöntemler çıkmakta ve alanın kendi bilim dili oluşmaktadır. Buna göre alan terminolojisinin oluşması da önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bunun öneminin farkında olarak, çeviribilimde terminolojik kullanımlardaki sorunlara dikkat çekmek ve bu sayede çeviribilim terminolojisi konusunda yapılacak çalışmalara katkı sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla bilimsel çalışmalarda sıkça karşılaşılan ‘paradigma’ ve ‘turn’ kavramlarının çeviribilimdeki kullanımları odağa alınmıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında iki kavramın genel kullanımları ortaya koyulmuş ve çeviribilimdeki kullanımları doküman inceleme yöntemiyle irdelenip değerlendirilerek Türkçe literatürde bu kavramlarındaki kullanım sorunları somutlaştırılmıştır.

Abstract
Rapid technological and political developments in Europe have globally resulted in a social transformation based on western civilization. The investigation of society has gained momentum, and the semantic boundaries of the social science concepts have broadened with the insufficiency of current methods and perspective. With the changes in the understanding of science and the increase of studies focusing on the society, interdisciplinary studies have become necessary and new study fields have emerged. New study fields have resulted in the diversification and differentiation of conceptual and terminological usages. In this process, different theories and methods emerge and the field establishes its scientific language. Thus the formation of the field terminology gains significance. The current study aims to draw attention to the problems in the terminology usages in the translation studies and thus contribute to future studies on the translation studies terminology. The usages of the ‘paradigm’ and ‘turn’ concepts in the translation studies literature, which are frequently encountered in scientific studies, are focused. The general usages of these two concepts have been presented, analyzed with the document analysis method and the usage problems encountered in the paradigm and turn concepts in the Turkish literature have been presented.
