Abstract

Türkler yüzyıllarca astronomi ile ilgilenmişlerdir. Bir çok astronom yetiştirmişler ve rasathaneler açmışlardır. Bu astronomlardan biri de Abdurrahman Es Sufi’dir. Sufi’nin yazmış olduğu eser, Anadolu Selçuklu döneminde astronomi alanında yazılmış en eski eserlerden biri olan Süver el-Kevakip’tir. Bugün elimizde çeşitli tarihlere ait Sufî kopyaları bulunmaktadır. Aynı zamanda eser Türk Sanatı’nda yer alan astral figürlere kaynak olabilecek en eski tarihli yazma olması bakımından da önemlidir. Astronomi alanında yazılan eserlerden çok farklı oluşu onu özel kılmıştır. Sufi, sabit yıldızları inceleyip oluşturduğu kozmografik katalog ile yaşadığı çağdaki araştırmacılara göre modern çağa tesir etmiştir. Elimizde mevcut olan Sufi yazmaları XI. ve XIII. yy’lar arasındadır. Gerek kendi döneminde gerekse sonrasında dönem özelliklerini yansıtan minyatürlerle değişik tarihlerde farklı dillere çevrilen bu eser, aynı zaman da Türk Sanatı’nda yer alan astral fiğürlere kaynak olabilecek en eski tarihli yazma olması bakımından da önemlidir.

Abstract

Turks have been interested in astronomy for centuries. They trained many astronomers and opened observatories. One of these astronomers is Abdurrahman Es Sufi. Sufi's work is Suver Al-Qawakip, one of the oldest works written in the field of Astronomy during the Anadolu Selcuklu period. Today we have Sufi copies of various dates. It is also important in that the work is the oldest dated writing that can be a source for astral figures in Turkish Art. The fact that it is so different from the works written in the field of astronomy made it special. Sufi influenced the modern age according to the researchers in his era by studying fixed stars and creating a cosmographic catalogue. The current Sufi manuscripts XI. and XIII. it is among the yys. This work, which has been translated into different languages at different dates with miniatures reflecting period features both in his own period and later, is also important in terms of being the oldest dated writing that can be the source for the astral vetch in Turkish Art
