Abstract
Manastır, Osmanlı Devleti’nde II.Meşrutiyet’i hazırlayan önemli merkezlerden biridir. Bunun nedeni bu bölgede faaliyet göstermek merkeze oranla daha serbest ve kolay olmuştur. Manastır’ın bu yönüyle diğer Osmanlı şehirlerine oranla daha farklı bir yapıda olduğunu ifade etmemiz mümkündür. Özellikle Osmanlı Devleti’nin son dönemlerine rastlayan tarihlerde devletin merkezi otoritesinin zayıflamaya başlaması da Manastır’ın daha serbest bir hal almasını hızlandırmıştır. II. Meşrutiyet’in ilan edilmesi ve bu süreci hazırlayan olaylar ve gelişmeler bazında, Manastır tarihi önemle incelenmesi gereken bir alandır. Bunun için doğru bilgiler elde ederek, bir sonuca ulaşmak gerekir. Yaptığımız çalışmada bu ilkeler doğrultusunda, Manastır’ın II. Meşrutiyet’in ilan edilmesindeki rolü ve bu bağlamda Abdülmecid Fehmi’nin Manastır’ın Unutulmaz Günleri adlı Osmanlıca eserinin transkripsiyonunu sağlayarak bir bütün içinde, neden- sonuç ilişkisi dahilinde irdeleyerek, objektiflik ilkesi gereğince olumlu-olumsuz yanları kaynaklar ışığında, bilimsel bir perspektifle değerlendirilecektir.
