Abstract
Bu araştırma huzurevlerine ilişkin içerdiği mesajlarla toplumdaki olumsuz huzurevi algısının yapılanmasında önemli rol oynadığı düşünülen bir sinema filmine dikkat çekmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda yönetmenliğini Mahsun Kırmızıgül’ün yaptığı “Beyaz Melek” adlı film seçilmiştir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 65 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın sonucunda “Beyaz Melek” filminin toplumda huzur evlerine ilişkin algı üzerinde bir ikilem oluşmasına ilişkin mesajlar içerdiği, bununda huzur evlerine ilişkin olumsuz algının yaygınlaşmasında etkili bir rol oynayabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca filmin öğrencilerde huzurevlerine ilişkin olumsuz algıların, toplumda nasıl oluştuğuna ilişkin bilgi edinme, farkındalık ve duyarlılık kazanma konusunda da eğitici katkılar sağlayabileceği söylenebilir.

Abstract
This research was carried out to draw attention to a motion picture which is thought to play an important role in structuring the perception of negative nursing home in society with the messages it contains about nursing homes. For this purpose, the film was selected “White Angel “directed by Mahsun Kırmızıgül. The research was carried out using qualitative research method. The study group consisted of 65 university students. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the film has a message about the creation of a dilemma about the perception of nursing homes in the society and that it may play an effective role in spreading the negative perception of the nursing homes. In addition, it can be said that the film can provide educational contributions to the students about the negative perceptions of nursing homes and to gain awareness about how they are formed in society.
