Abstract

İslâmiyet’in kabulünden sonra güzele ulaşma arzusu kendine has bir kimlikle şekillenmiş, maddenin ötesindeki hakikate duyulan özlem sanatın hedeflerinden biri haline gelmiştir.

Abstract

Turks have dominated many different regions and continents for thousands of years. By combining their own values with the culture of civilizations in this land, they have created a rich understanding of art. The belief system, which is one of the most important factors affecting the art as well as the lives of the societies, has also given an important dimension to the experience of the Turks and the understanding of art. After the acceptance of Islam, the desire to reach beauty has been shaped by a unique identity and the craving for real creator has become one of the goals of the art. This perspective is combined with the abstract spirituality and imagination of Islamic culture, and the branches of art that we practiced and examined today emerged. The most important of them is the art of Turkish book binding.
