YÜKSEKÖĞRETİM KURUMLARINA DEVAM EDEN ENGELLİ ÖĞRENCİLER İLE ENGELLİ PERSONELİN GÖRÜŞLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Ege Üniversitesi’nde yükseköğretime devam eden engelli öğrenciler ve görevli engelli personelin görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Betimsel desende gerçekleştirilen çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. 10 engelli yükseköğretim öğrencisi ve çalışmakta olan 10 engelli idari personel ile yüz yüze görüşülmüştür. Engelli öğrencilerin ve personelin görüşlerini yansıtan bulguların, ayrıntılı ve bütünsel biçimde analiz edilmesi amacıyla NVivo programı kullanılmıştır. Görüşler 40 kategori, 10 alt tema ve 3 ana temada betimlenmiştir. Engelli öğrenciler ve personele ilişkin veriler “Okul/İş yaşamına yerleşme öncesi dönem”, “Okul/İş yaşamına başlangıç süreci” ve “Okul/İş yaşamına yerleştikten sonraki süreç” şeklinde üç ana temada özetlenmiştir. Engelli öğrencilerin ve engelli personelin görüşlerine dayalı gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmanın bulgularının, engelli öğrenciler ve personelin sorunlarının belirlenerek çözüm önerileri geliştirilmesine, engelli bireylerin öğrenim ve iş yaşamına tam katılımlarını sağlamak amacı ile gerçekleştirilecek düzenlemelere katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
This study aims to examine the opinions of the disabled university students and disabled personnel regarding. This study, a descriptive study, has used the semi-structured interview technique, a qualitative research technique. 10 disabled university students and 10 disabled personnel were interviewed face-to-face. NVivo program was used for the purpose of analysis of the findings reflecting the opinions of the disabled students and personnel in a detailed and holistic way. The opinions were described under 40 categories, 10 sub-themes and 3 main themes. The data regarding the disabled students and personnel were described under three main themes: “The period before getting into the school/ professional life”, “Starting process of school/professional life” and “The period after getting into the school/professional life”. The findings of this study conducted based on the opinions of the disabled students and disabled personnel are thought to be able to contribute to the development of solution suggestions and to the regulations which will be submitted to enable full participation of the disabled people in education and professional life by determining the problems of disabled students and personnel.
