Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ülkelerin inovasyon performansını etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesine katkı sağlamaktır. Bu amacı gerçekleştirmek için, Avrupa İnovasyon Skorbordu-2016 verileri kullanılarak ikili lojistik regresyon analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analize Türkiye, Norveç, Sırbistan ve İsviçre ile birlikte 28 AB üyesi ülke olmak üzere toplamda 32 ülke dahil edilmiştir. Kategorik bağımlı değişken ile birlikte toplam 27 değişken ampirik analizde kullanılmış ve ardından sekiz farklı model oluşturulmuştur. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, özellikle Ar-Ge yatırımlarının, beşeri sermayenin ve KOBİ’ler tarafından gerçekleştirilen inovasyonların ülkelerin inovasyon performansını etkileyen faktörler olduğunu göstermektedir.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to contribute to determine the factors that influence the innovation performance of the countries. To achieve this aim, the binary logistics regression analysis was applied by using European Innovation Scoreboard-2016 (EIS) data. A total of 32 countries including 28 EU member countries with Turkey, Norway, Serbia and Switzerland have been included in the analysis. A total of 27 variables together with the categorical dependent variable were used in the empirical analysis and were conducted the eight different models. The findings obtained from the result of the analysis show that especially R&D investments, human capital and innovations made by SMEs are the factors that influencing the innovation performance of the countries.
