Abstract
XI-XIII. yüzyılları arası mûsikî nazariyatı bakımından durgun dönem olarak addedilmektedir. Ancak son dönemlerde yapılmış ve yapılmakta olan çalışmalar bu dönemin anlatıldığı gibi durgun olmadığını göstermektedir. Çalışmamıza konu olan X. yüzyılın sonu veya XI. yüzyılın başlarında yazıldığı tahmin edilen Hasan b. Ahmed b. Ali el-Kâtib’e ait Kemâlü Edebi’l-Ğınâ adlı ansiklopedik bu eser kendi dönemi ve kendinden sonraki dönemlerin mûsikî yapısının anlaşılmasında önemli bir yer teşkil etmektedir. Bu çalışmada eser ve yazar hakkında bilgiler verildikten sonra içeriğin zengin ve geniş olması hasebiyle müellifin özellikle mûsikî ve mûsikîşinas adâbına dair görüşlerinin yer aldığı konular ele alınacaktır.

Abstract
Between 11th and 12th centuries were regarded as stagnant periods in terms of music theory. However, recent studies show that this period was not stagnant as it is considered. The encyclopedic work of Hasan b. Ahmet b. Ali el-Katib , Kemâlü Edebi’l-Ğınâ, which estimated that written in the end of the 10th century or in the beginning of the 11th century, has an important role in understanding the musical structure of its time and following times. In this study, after giving information about the author and the work, the author’s views on music and musicians will be discussed in particular because of the wide and rich content of the work.
