Abstract
İnsanlar varoluşları sırasında hep mizah kullanarak, çevresinde boy gösteren olaylara eleştirisel gülüşle yaklaşım sergilemek ihtiyacı duyulmuştur ki, bu da genelde toplumda gözletilen haksızlıklar, halkın yönetime karşı rahatsızlıkları etkilemekteydi. Belirtildiği gibi, karikatürün ortaya çıkma nedeni önemli etkenler zaten toplumda olan bu haksızlıklar ve hoşnutsuzluklardır. Bu bağlamda halk ayaklanmaları, uzun süreli savaşlar, işgaller de karikatürün ortaya çıkmasına ve halk arasında yaygınlaşmasına önayak olan etkenler gibi kabul edilir. Malalede karikatürlerin yalnız yüksek düzeyde gelişmiş bilinç ürünü olabilmesi vurgulanıyor. Çünkü kendine gülme, özeleştiri yeteneği yalnız manevi açıdan sağlam olan insan ve topluma aittir. Belki de bu nedenle karikatür çoğu zaman demokratik toplumun göstergesi olarak görülmektedir. Gerçekten de karikatür genellikle demokratik toplumlara varlığını sürdüre, gelişebilir. Söz ve düşünce özgürlüğü çiğnenen toplumlarda bu sanat türü baskıya uğrayarak mahva mahkûmdur.

Abstract
Every epoch, every time brings something new into culture and art. However, the new does not mean positive. Initially, the caricature served as the "voice of the people". Cartoonists passed through their drawings the problems of the common people, exposing the mistakes and bad deeds of those in power. Now the caricature appears before us in the form of an "apple of discord", generating ridiculous pictures of dubious content.In our time, the caricature remains the most massive form of art. To determine this is not difficult, it is enough to buy any newspaper in any kiosk and on its pages we will see articles on the most topical topics of the day with illustrations of rather "poisonous" pictures. A feature of the cartoon can be called a multiple strengthening of journalistic thought, its sharpening. The article considers the artistic, cultural and political aspects of the caricature, the early stages of development of this genre and its primary forms. History of the birth of a caricature which has been tested for long centuries, it’s very ancient and rich history are analyzed in this article. The particular attention is paid to importance of this unique genre. The article provides information on very rare works, which could be called the very early prototypes of the caricature.
