Abstract
Bir devletin tarihi, o devletin aynası gibidir karşısına geçip bakıldığında geçmiş bütün çıplaklığı ile kendisini göstermekten geri durmayacaktır. 623 yıl tarih sahnesinde kendisine yer bulan Osmanlı devleti hem yayıldığı geniş alan itiba-riyle hem de bu dönemde meydana gelen tarihi olaylar zinciri ile tarih kitapla-rının sayfalarında geniş yer bulmuştur. Daha önce bu konu ile ilgili birkaç devletin tarih kitaplarını esas alarak inceleme yaptık. Osmanlı hakkında ne yazdıklarını inceleme fırsatı bulduk. Bu süreçte merak ettiğimiz konu bu ça-lışmanın ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Acaba Osmanlı kendi okullarında okuttuğu ders kitaplarında kendi tarihini nasıl anlatmaktadır, objektiflik içeri-sinde mi yoksa ne derecede taraflı anlatmaktadır? Hangi konulara yer vermiş-tir? Bu çalışmada bunları araştırmaya çalıştık. Bu çalışma bir kitap incelemesi çalışmasıdır ve eldeki verilerin incelenmesi yöntemi ile yapılmıştır.

Abstract
The history of a country is like the mirror of that country. It starkly reflects the past while standing before. Starting to find place in the stage of history 623 years ago, The Ottoman Empire substantially took place in the pages of history books by reason of both the wide area it pervaded and the chain of historical events occurred in the period. Based on the history books of some governments, some researches have previously been conducted about this top-ic and it was aimed to ascertain the points of view on the Ottoman Empire. In this process, it was the basic question that caused this study to come to light. It is wondered how the Ottoman Empire narrated its own history in the course books studied at its own schools. Was the main tendency to the teaching and conveyance of the events scientific or one-sided? What matters were handled? This study is a book review in order to find answers to these questions. The mainstay is the examination of the data in the coursebook “Anadolu Ya-vrusu”.
