Abstract
İnsanoğlunun yemek-içmek gibi doğal ihtiyaçlarından bir tanesi tuvalet gereksinimidir. Ülkemizde karşılaşılan önemli sorunlarda biri de tuvalet kullanımı ve temizliğidir. UNICEF’e göre, dünyada 2.9 milyon insan uygun bir tuvalet olanağından yoksundur. Türkiye’de ise ev içinde ya da uygun bir mesafede uygun tuvalet olanağına sahip olanların durumu tüm nüfusun % 74’lük dilimde gösterilmektedir. Bu nüfusumuzun % 26’sının uygun tuvalet koşullarından yararlanamadığı sonucunu ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Doğu illerinde birçok köy evinde ise tuvalet yoktur. Tuvalet ihtiyacı için belli bir zaman harcamaktadır. Türkiye’de ortama yaşam süresi göz önüne alındığında 74 yıllık yaşam süresince günde 3 kez tuvalete gidip 5 er dakikasını ayıran bir birey yıllık ömrünün en az 296 gününü tuvalette geçiriyor demektir. Tuvalet eğitimi kavramı kaçınılmaz her bireyi ilgilendiren ve çevre eğitimi için oldukça önem verilmesi gereken bir olgu olarak bu çalışmada irdelenmiştir.

One of human's natural needs, such as eating and drinking is the toilet needs. One of the major problems is encountered is the use of toilets and sanitation in Turkey. According to UNICEF, 2.9 million people has a lack adequate sanitation facilities in the world.
